With this year’s Halloween card finished it’s time to think about what to work on next.
First a quick recap of the week.
I finished the Halloween card and posted it on the store over the weekend. I didn’t get the notice sent out that it was available until Halloween. There was a delay in the card showing up for sale on the store. I could get to it from the direct link but if you just went to the store, the card wasn’t showing up. I didn’t want to send out the notice that it was available until I knew you could see it by just going to the store. If you missed the notice yesterday here’s a quick look at the final design. I decided not to add the sign to the pot. I think simpler is sometimes better.
I finally got the grout removal finished. I still have to put in new grout but the dusty nasty mess is finally over. I’ve even cleaned up the bathroom and wiped down all the walls and the light fixtures. It was bad. And it was making me a little nuts. Next up on that project is to put in the new grout and then seal the daylights out of it once it sets. Not sure if I’ll be getting to that in the next week, I’ve got some Maker event things to attend and a Black Belt test to go watch. However, I am really anxious to get this project complete so I could end up working on that instead of art. I’ll let you know how that goes.
Ok, I confess. When I finish a project and get it uploaded to the store, I like to take a little time to sit back and relax. And that’s basically what I did for a couple of days. And then I happened to look at the Ovation Guitar painting on the drawing board. I said to myself “I should finish that.” I thought I was specifically thinking and talking about the section of the second red layer that I needed to finish. Then I realized that I was probably talking about the whole thing. I wish I could say I made enough progress on it for it to look like that is what I meant. I did finish up that layer of red though. And I’ve started on the sound
holes. I had to do a little rework on the outlines for some of them. It’s progress though and I hope to make even more progress this week. Have a look.
And now to figure out what to work on next for the 3d computer art. As you’ve seen recently, I have a few choices and I’m not quite sure where to focus. While I’m working that out I think I will do some reorganizing and rearranging in my studio. And of course,
work on guitar paintings.
